Eldon W. Skinner

85, of Danville, Indiana passed away peacefully on February 13, 2026.  Eldon graduated from Greenfield High School in 1959.  He served in the Air Force before becoming a Buyer for Danners, Inc. for 22 years.  He then opened a hardware store in Holland, Michigan until he retired.

Eldon lived his life defined by hard work, loyalty, humor and deep love for his family.  He was a wonderful husband, dad, grandpa & great grandpa.  He had a lifelong love of fishing.  His proudest fishing catch was his hammerhead shark, which he had mounted and was a conversation piece for many years.

Eldon was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur & Mildred Skinner, sister Loretta Fentz, brother-in-law Ed Fentz, niece Melissa Fentz, sister Joyce Hudson, and brother-in-law Robert Hudson.

Eldon is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Linda, his sister Sandy Reed, his three children, Holly, Brandon (Brindy) and Brett, 5 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild, as well as many nephews and a niece.

Our family would like to extend a heart-felt thank you for the compassion and care Hellen (hospice) provided.  You are a true blessing!
