Eleanor T. Dalton

83, of Avon, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2026. She was born on September 16, 1942, in Glin, Co. Limerick, Ireland, and came to the United States in 1964. She married Charles Dalton in 1967, and they eventually settled in Plymouth, Indiana, where Eleanor was a teacher's aide for Plymouth Community Schools for many years.

Eleanor loved travel, and she and Charles took many memorable trips. She enjoyed crochet and cross-stitch. She also loved playing cards with family and friends, and especially spending time with her granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by her parents Michael and Elizabeth O'Brien. Survivors include her husband Charles Dalton; children Michael Dalton, Stephen (Sue) Dalton, Susan (Perry) Cameron; grandchildren Eleanor Cameron, Charlotte Cameron, Jun Dalton, and Maya Dalton; and her eight siblings, Mary Cleghorn and Frances Boal of England, James O'Brien, Breda McNamara, Margaret Cregan, and Michael O'Brien of Ireland, Anne Hewitt of Massachusetts, and Noirin O'Brien-Penney of Illinois.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, February 12 at 11 am at St. Malachy Catholic Church, 9833 E. CR 750N, Brownsburg, IN 46112.
