Elizabeth "Betty Lou" Freije, age 80, Brownsburg, passed away Jan. 25, 2015. She was a member of St. Malachy Catholic Church, Brownsburg American Legion Post 331 Auxiliary, and worked as a baker for Brownsburg High School. She was preceded in death by her parents James and Ruby Downing, son Thomas J. Freije, and brother Michael Downing. She is survived by her husband Thomas Freije; children Ruth (Rick) Semmler, Maria (John) Armstrong, and Keith (Teresa) Freije; 13 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4-8 pm Tues. Jan 27, 2015 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg with funeral mass at 10:30 am Wed. Jan. 28, 2015 in St. Malachy Catholic Church.
