Emily M. Whiles
102, Jamestown, passed away Dec. 19, 2018. She was a member of the Jamestown Church of Christ. Born in a time when wealth was measured not in dollars but in family, she had a rich childhood, being 7th out of 11. Her legacy again, not in dollars, is her example of a Godly wife, mother and grandmother. At 102 (and ½), she left her mortal body for her reward. She was preceded in death by her husband Woodrow Whiles, son Russell Whiles, and granddaughter Amy Elizabeth Carter. Survivors include children V. June (Jim) Dorn, Ronald (Lynn) Whiles, Donna (Sam) Carter, and Richard (Barbara) Whiles; brothers Jacob Eastham and Lloyd Eastham; 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 11am to 1pm Thursday Dec. 27 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with funeral services there at 1pm. Burial will be in Brownsburg Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
