Emma J. "Shortie" Curts age 72, Brownsburg, passed away June 29, 2012. She graduated from Franklin High School in 1958 and was a high school cheerleader for 4 years. She attended Weaver Aeronautical School in Kansas City and worked for Lake Central Airlines. She married Norm on Nov. 25, 1960 at the Hopewell Presbyterian Church, Franklin, IN. She taught kindergarten at Calvary United Methodist Church. She was a member of Phi Beta Psi Sorority, Brownsburg American Legion Auxiliary, Order of Eastern Star, and Calvary United Methodist Church. Survivors include husband Norm Curts; children Catherine Morgan and Andy (Lee) Curts; brothers Frank Weaver and Larry Weaver; sisters Doris McLeaster and Ruby Fowler; 2 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by brother James Weaver and sister Agnes Woodrum. Funeral services will be 12noon Tues. July 3 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with visitation from 10am to noon. Burial will be in Brownsburg Cemetery.
