Emma Jean Niewald

86, Brownsburg, passed away on July 26, 2024.  She was a valued member of Immanuel United Church of Christ and Delta Kappa Gamma sorority.  Emma Jean was born in Canton, OH to Rev. Paul and Alice Lammers.  She graduated from Heidelberg College and Butler University.  Emma Jean was a guidance counselor for Brownsburg Community School Corporation for 20 years retiring in 2000.   She lived in Brownsburg for the past 57 years.  Emma Jean and Don enjoyed spending time with and traveling with their neighbors and friends.  She was a wonderful wife, mother, friend and a proud grandmother and great-grandmother.  Our lives were truly blessed by her presence and we will forever miss her.  Survivors include her loving husband of 64 years Donald Niewald; children Kim Glover (Michael Smith), Joel Niewald; brother Mark Lammers; sister Lois Baur; grandchildren USAF TSgt. Jesse Glover (Alexis Glover), Sydney Glover (Braylen Conners), Parker Niewald (Kaeley Cunningham), Colin Niewald (Olivia Small); great grandchild Chase Glover.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Immanuel United Church of Christ at www.immanuelunited.org Private graveside services will be held.
