Emma Lorraine Thurston
79, Indianapolis, passed away December 5, 2020. Lorraine's kind heart, sweet smile and unconditional love drew people to her. Her legacy will exist in the lives she touched, and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She married Douglas (Randy) Thurston in 1959, and they built a family based on love and dedication.

She worked for Crossroad's Industrial Services, Indianapolis as Plant Manager from 1978-1985, then moved to Georgia where she managed a large school cafeteria for Gwinnet County Schools from 1987-2005.

Emma Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Georgianna Westerfield, brothers John Clifford and Gilbert Clinton Westerfield, sister Sharon Westerfield, and 2 great grandchildren. Survivors include her husband Douglas Thurston Sr.; children Barton (Kathy) Thurston, Laurie (Robin) O'Riley, Douglas (Julie) Thurston Jr. Mirenda (Matthew) Gregory, Jennifer (Adam) Haghighat, and Victoria (Maurice) Monroe; sister Shirley Bell; brother Donald (Anita) Westerfield, sister-in-law Mary Westerfield; 29 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

Due to Covid concerns the family will have a private visitation on Thursday, December 10th, 2020. On May 15th, 2021, Emma's 80th birthday, the family will host a Celebration of Life (location and time TBD).
