Esther Alexander Messenger
89, Paint Lick, KY, passed away May 28, 2011. She was born to Leslie and Ruby Boughton Alexander on Aug. 17, 1921. She was a graduate of Pike High School and was a Women's Army Corp veteran of WWII. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Robert D. Messenger; brother Forrest M. Alexander; sisters Doris L. Brown and Ethel M. Kersey. She is survived by daughter Deborah Messenger, Paint Lick, KY; stepdaughters Linda Weber, Indianapolis, and Cheryl (Jim) Cantrell, San Antonio, TX; 5 step grandchildren and 8 step great grandchildren; brother-in-law Charles Kersey, St. Petersburg, FL; sister-in-law Loretta Alexander, Zionsville. Funeral services will be 1pm Wed. June 1 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with visitation there from 11am-1pm.
