Faye Marie Henry age 92, passed away peacefully Oct. 29 at Brownsburg Meadows with her family at her side. She was born April 25, 1919, to Clara (Eggert) and Ralph Davis in Monon, IN. She was married to Benton (Bones) Henry June 16, 1938, a union which lasted until his death Nov. 27, 1990. They lived in Illinois and Bloomington, IN, before settling in Crawfordsville, IN, for fourteen years. Faye was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker and volunteer. In 1960, they moved to Carmel, where she worked for the school corporation for over twenty years. In 1988, Benton and Faye moved to Brownsburg, where she resided the rest of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her brothers Robert, Richard, and Donald, and her sister Eva. She is survived by her sister, Helen Swing, her brothers, Kenneth Davis (Jeannetta) and Bill Davis (Nina), all of Francesville, IN; her children, Col. (Ret.) Don Henry (Dixie) of Laguna Beach, CA; Sally Mecklenburg (Paul), Brownsburg; Susan Sassic (Pete) of Peachtree City, GA; and Jeanne Coleman of Houston, TX; her grandchildren, Mike (Sarah) Mecklenburg, Nick Mecklenburg, KC Mecklenburg, Claire Sassic, Madeline Sassic, Tyler Coleman, Eliza Coleman, and her great-granddaughter, Emma Mecklenburg. She is also survived by her high school sweetheart and long-time companion, H. Rex (Buck) Weaver. Visitation will be from 4-8pm, Tues., Nov. 1 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg with funeral services at 10am Wed., Nov. 2. Burial will be at Roseland Cemetery in Francesville, IN at 1 pm Wed.
