Fern Serak age 82, Brownsburg, passed away Nov. 19, 2011. Fern taught English at Fulton Jr. High School for 35 years and retired as department head for English and foreign language. She was a graduate of Indiana University and Butler University and a member of Kappa Delta Phi. Survivors include husband John Serak Jr.; son John (Laurie) Serak III; sister Lucreta Allen; grandsons John Serak IV, Christopher (Kari) Serak, and Patrick Serak; many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 3-7pm Tues. Nov. 22 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with funeral services there at 10am Wed. Nov. 23. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery.
