Florence Jane (Nightingale) Lewis of Clayton, IN passed away Dec. 2, 2013 at Brownsburg Meadows Nursing Home. Born Aug. 11, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Sydney Cambridge and Maude Mary (Thom) Nightingale. Mrs. Lewis was raised in Congress Park, IL. She managed Breen's Cleaners in LaGrange, IL for over 15 years. Moving to Indiana, she worked in banking until she retired. One of Mrs. Lewis's greatest passions was the love of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She also found enjoyment in her weekly Bingo games. Survivors include a son, David Lester Wenz Sr. of Indianapolis; a daughter, Pamela Jane (Stuart) Sharpe of Clayton; son, Levi Daniel (Julie) Lewis of Dayton, OH; and daughter Nancy Maude Keeton of Danville; 11 grandchildren, Stacy Bengochea, David Wenz Jr., Amy Hubbard, Kristy Coats, Andrea Carter, Justin Lewis, Christopher Lewis, Michael Lewis, Hunter Lewis, Briar Keeton and Ashley Cox; 10 great grandchildren. Proceeding her death was a sister, Mary Nightingale, a brother David Nightingale, and a brother James Nightingale. Per Mrs. Lewis's request there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
