Frances Ruth Byrd Griggs
age 97, Brownsburg, passed away Feb. 23, 2014. Ruth had worked as an inspector for Uniroyal, retiring in 1978. She was preceded in death by her husband Murry Griggs, daughter Judy Ward, and 6 brothers and sisters. She was member of Brownsburg Order of Eastern Star, Connection Pointe Christian Church, Hilltoppers and a ladies Bible Study group. She enjoyed flower gardening, sewing and cooking. Survivors include daughters Vicki Marrs and Debra Thompson; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 1pm Feb. 27 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with visitation there from 11am-1pm. Burial will follow at Brownsburg Cemetery.
