Fremont Schoeck
87, Brownsburg, passed away on February 29, 2024. He worked as a Soil Conservationist for the USDA for 40 years, retiring in 1993.  He was a graduate of Southern Illinois University. He was also a member of the 1st United Methodist Church in Marshall, IL, and a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge.  Fremont was a huge fan of St. Louis Cardinals baseball.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Fremont and Edna Schoeck, his brother Norman, his wife Caroline Schoeck and son Michael Schoeck.  Survivors include children Randy (Sally) Schoeck, Bellefontaine, OH, David (Amy) Schoeck, Kendallville, IN, Linda Schoeck RN, Brownsburg, IN, and daughter-in-law Sandi Schoeck, Wentzville, MO; 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.   Visitation will be from 1-2pm Monday March 4 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with funeral services there at 2pm.  Burial will follow in West Ridge Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Shriners Children's Hospital at www.lovetotherescue.org
