Obituary

Gail Anne Langston
83, of Brownsburg, IN, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 24, 2022. Gail was born in
Patterson, New Jersey and spent her childhood there. She attended Jr. High School in
Binghamton, New York and graduated from Binghamton North Senior High School in 1957. She
went on to attend Newark State College in Union, New Jersey, and received her Bachelor of
Arts degree in 1963. Gail was an art teacher at Cascia Hall Preparatory Academy for both Jr.
and Sr. High schools, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, for 35 years. Gail used her artistic talent on the set
designs for the school theatrical performances, as well.
She married Glenn Davis on April 10 of 1965 and had one daughter, Tracie Davis on May 19,
1972. They enjoyed doing Road Rallies on the weekends, together. After Tracie's birth, Gail
was a homemaker, but volunteered to teach art classes at the elementary school two days a
week. Whenever Tracie was having a bad day, Gail's solution was always ice cream. Ice
cream made everything better.
Later in life, Gail married Kenneth Langston on August 3, 1991. Kenneth owned an Army Navy
Surplus Store in Tulsa for many years. Ken and Gail loved to dance - especially country line
dancing, and were very involved in social groups, supporting others in their community. They
started a Bill W. group called "The Westside Club" in Tulsa which was very well attended. Ken
and Gail enjoyed 17 years together and she was Ken's caregiver until his death.
She was a faithful member of Friends of Bill W. and attended a weekly bible study at Connection
Pointe Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Langston.
Survivors include her daughter Tracie Susan Dehart; granddaughters Baylee Dehart, Jaidyn
Dehart; stepson Joey Don (JD); sister Patricia Reynolds; nephew Scott Reynolds, niece Susan
Bailey; and her beloved cat, Cami.
Gail loved spending time with her family and taught her daughter and granddaughters all sorts
of art techniques. She faithfully attended track meets, cheer competitions, softball games, and
football games. She used her artistic talent to make beautiful Halloween costumes and alter
costumes for The Nutcracker Suite each year. She enjoyed gourmet cooking, which her family
was not wild about.
Gail loved life, loved her family, loved her community and loved The Lord. Her compassion for
others, joyful spirit and "feistiness" will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be on Monday, August 1 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Mathews Mortuary,
Brownsburg, IN with a celebration of life service following, at 1:00 p.m. Because Gail was
always so coordinated and colorful, please wear bright colors in her honor. Please no black
