Garrett L. Stanley, 30, left this world on October 5, 2025.

Born January 20, 1995, Garrett loved and lived generously, having never met a stranger. The world will forever miss his light, creativity, wicked sense of humor and practical jokes, his passion for animals, and endearing spontaneity. He lived and loved with unmatched ferocity, embracing all the little joys along the way.

A mashup of his favorite quotes best summarizes how he lived: "Live your life, take chances, be crazy. Don't wait because right now is the oldest you've ever been and the youngest you'll ever be again."

His vibrancy was infectious and will be carried on by those left to grieve him. Those include his mother, Penny Stanley; brother, Chase Stanley; the Toledo family; aunts and uncles Angie (Mike) Patterson, Della Nesbit, Tim (Jody) Stanley, and Kelly Fulk; the Sutton family (Richard, Sharon, Katherine, Jackie, and Derek); and a myriad of cousins and friends. Also grieving him are his fur babies, Pluto and Grayson.

Preceding him in death is his father and best friend, Troy Stanley, and fur babies Kona and Champ.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8th from 1 pm to 3 pm at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg with a service to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to an animal shelter of your choosing.
