Obituary

Gary T. Irwin, went home to meet his Lord and Savior on Sept. 30, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. Gary was born August 10, 1946 in Ellwod City PA. He retired from Deluxe Corporation after 35 years of employment. After retirement Gary also worked as a school bus driver for Brownsburg Community Schools and custodian for his church. Gary was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church. He was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of the Brownsburg American Legion Post 331. He was preceded in death by his parents James and Virginia Irwin; son Jeffrey B. Smith. Survivors include his wife of 39 years Debbie Hoffman Irwin; daughter Tamara (Jeremy) J. Baugh; son Ryan K. Irwin; brother James T. Irwin Jr.; grandchildren Evelyn, Gatlin, AnnaCorinne Baugh, Addison Irwin, and Ian Smith. Visitation will be from 4-7 pm Mon. Oct. 5 in Calvary United Methodist Church, Brownsburg, with funeral services there at 10 am on Tues. Oct. 6. Contributions may be made to the Prostate Cancer Foundation. The family would like to thank Dr. Terry Henderson, Dr. Jenelle Miller, the Prostate Cancer Center, St. Vincent Cancer Center, Avon Cancer Center and Premier Hospice for the excellent and compassionate care provided for our loved one. Also, thank you to our pastors, church family, and many friends for their support and prayers during Gary's four year battle with cancer.
