George Kindler, 94 of Brownsburg, IN passed away on July 10th, 2024. Mr. Kindler was proud to be a Navy Veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Fighting Squadron 72 (VF72) and deployed on aircraft carriers USS Leyte, USS Philippine Sea, and the USS Midway. George spent a professional career in the food retail business both as a store owner in the 1950s and 1960s and later as a food manufacturers' marketing representative. As an entrepreneur he co-founded a successful food promotion company, Demos Express. Mr. Kindler is a former Police Commissioner of the town of Brownsburg and a member of the American Legion. George loved baseball and enjoyed coaching for Brownsburg Little League. His sense of adventure took him on travels all over the world.
George's wife, Sally Brown Kindler and daughter, Cerelle VanBuskirk preceded him in death. He is survived by son, Kenneth (Denise) Kindler of Pittsboro, and daughters Linda Sanders (Tom Schneider) of Carmel, and Janet (Bob) Yeager of Brownsburg along with six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Mr. Kindler is also survived by his dear friend, Kate Howard of Plainfield. George was a member of Cornerstone Christian Church of Brownsburg. Funeral services will be held at Cornerstone Christian Church, 8930 IN 267, on Friday July 19th, with visitation 11:00-1:00 and service at 1:00.  Burial to follow at Brownsburg Cemetery.
