Obituary

Harold D. Whitmire
91, Brownsburg, passed away Dec. 18, 2015. He had been chief plant engineer at Union Carbide, retiring in 1990, and from 1980 to 2000 owned and operated Jean's Cards & Gifts Hallmark Stores in Zionsville and Anderson. He was a member of St. Malachy Catholic Church and a US Army veteran of WWII. Survivors include his wife Bernice Whitmire; daughters Ann Gailar, Mary Jordan, Susan Valentino, Barbara Pittsford, and Jean Shanks; 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Memorial services will be 11am Tues. Dec. 29 at St. Malachy Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Wounded Warriors Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675 or www.woundedwarriorproject.org
