Harry Otto Reagan
February 5, 1938 - February 11, 2025
It is with great sadness to announce that Harry Otto Reagan, 87, Brownsburg, passed away on February 11, 2025.
Harry was born and raised on a small farm in Coal City, IN. After the death of his parents at a young age, he joined the Air Force and served in the Alaska Territory for two years. He loved Alaska and was very proud to be there when it became a state. After his discharge, he made his way back to Indianapolis where he met his wife of over 55 years, Shirley. They settled in Brownsburg and raised two sons Daniel and Casey. He retired after 30 years from GM Truck and Bus in 1998 and was able to enjoy a long retirement.
Harry loved his wife and family more than anything. He loved to play his guitar and sing for them, often improvising songs on the spot. He found joy in repairing old bicycles and guitars. He was proud to spend time working with Daniel at their bicycle shop. He also enjoyed watching IU Basketball. Shirley and Harry traveled together all over the country searching garage sales and flea markets for vintage treasures and items to repair.
He was a man of great love and never met a stranger. He loved chatting with everyone and swapping stories of the old days plus a joke or two. He lived a life filled with music and love. If Harry has crossed your path, he was sure to give you a small wooden cross. He had a deep love for Jesus and always had time to sit and talk.
Harry is survived by his wife, Shirley (Duncan) Reagan; his sons, Daniel Reagan and Casey Reagan, Casey's wife Claire (Audritsh) Reagan and their children, Molly Reagan and Miles Reagan. Preceded in death by his parents Walter and Mamie (Turpin); his brothers Paul Reagan and Junior Reagan.
Visitation will be from 11am to 1pm Monday February 17 at Matthews Mortuary in Brownsburg, Indiana with funeral services at 1pm. Burial will be immediately following at Bethesda Cemetery.
