Horace Michael Hancock

75, Indianapolis, passed away on November 29, 2023.  He was a US Army veteran serving from 1969 to 1971.  Horace worked in construction and for the railroad before his retirement and was a member of the American Legion.  He was preceded in death by his wife Arla Hancock; daughter Machell; parents Robert and Violet Hancock; great grandchildren Ava Edwards and Jayden Edwards.  Survivors include his daughter Jenny Swain; brother Terry Hancock; sister Roberta Ball; grandchildren Jeff (Emily) Edwards, Jacob Edwards, Andrew Britton, Zachary Swain, Taylor Britton; great grandchildren Alaina Edwards and Ryan Edwards.  Visitation will be from 11 am to 1 pm Fri. Dec. 8 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with funeral services there at 1 pm.  Burial will be in West Ridge Park Cemetery.
