Ida Jane Guernsey Indianapolis, formerly of Pittsboro, passed away November 8, 2011, following a long illness. Jane was born September 9, 1929, in Pittsboro, Indiana to Robert and Martha Bennett. She married Paul L. Guernsey on October 22, 1948. Her parents and husband preceded her in death. Jane graduated from Pittsboro High School. She was married in and continued to be a member of Pittsboro Christian Church. She had one son Robert Eugene Guernsey. Jane worked for 25 years in the Indianapolis Public School System. She is survived by her son Robert Eugene, grandson Robert William, grand daughter Abigail Lynn Alterio, and a great granddaughter Elizabeth (Lizzie) Esther Alterio. She is also survived by her brother George Robert Bennett. Funeral services will be 1pm Fri. Nov. 11 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with visitation there from 11am-1pm.
