Inez C. Johns

91, of Brownsburg, IN passed away on October 21st, 2026. Inez was born in Provincetown, MA to her parents Inez and Manuel Macara on September 17th, 1935. Inez married James Johns of Noblesville, IN and were blessed with 72 years of marriage. Together, they raised their four children in the Indianapolis area.

In 1969, she was diagnosed with cancer. The Lord used this pivotal event to develop her personal relationship with Himself. This changed the trajectory of her family’s life. Inez became an avid student of the Bible, faithfully loving, serving and praying for others. She and her husband have been members of Plainfield Christian Church for many years.

Inez loved spending time on the beach and spent many joyful hours relaxing under the sun. She loved dance and music. She often played piano for her children as they fell asleep at night.

Inez was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Kenneth Macara and Manuel Macara II. She is survived by her beloved husband James Johns; children Kevin (Ruth) Johns, Deborah (Frank) Byrne, Charles (Ronda) Johns and Cathy (Mark) Cinatl; 12 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren with another on the way.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 30th from 11 am to 1 pm at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with funeral services to follow at 1 pm. Inez will then be laid to rest at Brownsburg Cemetery.
