Ivy Grace Breining

87, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on October 29th, 2026. Ivy was born in Butley, England in Suffolk county to her parents Frederick Samuel and Rosa Ellen King on December 20th, 1938. Ivy held many different roles throughout her life. Most notably, she enjoyed being a motherly figure for many, many people. She was a kind, loving woman who loved and looked after all of the children in the Avon community. During Ivy's professional career, she was a trusted quality control specialist for Maplehurst Bakery for over 20 years. Ivy also worked for the Dairy Queen and the C and E Drug Store in Avon. Outside of work, she was an incredible gardener who found joy in tending to her flowers and connecting with the nature around her. Ivy will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; son Andrew Paul Breining; grandchildren Colin and Patrick Breining. Ivy is survived by her children Wayne Everett Breining and Neal Elliott (Constance Marie) Breining; grandchildren Bastian Borowick, Daniel Breining, David Breining, Duncan Breining, and Jackie Huber; as well as several great grandchildren.
