James E. Bray (Ed)

11/30/1954-1/17/2025

Passed away at home surrounded by family and loved ones on January 17, 2025.   He was born in Indianapolis on November 30, 1954 and lived in Brownsburg. He was predeceased by his father James B. Bray and mother Wanda Watkins Bray along with his sister Debra Bray He is survived by his wife Michele Bray, son Garrett Bray, stepson James McIntosh and brother Tim Bray (Deborah) along with nieces and nephews. Ed was retired from Indianapolis General Motors Chevrolet Truck and Bus. He was a proud member of the blood donation "gallon club". Ed was also glad to have given time to Habitat for Humanity. Those that knew Ed understood his love for motorcycles and saw him as the man with the cane strapped to the front of his bike and the wind to his back. We would like to thank Rodney Rice for honoring Ed by wearing One of Ed's favorites (a Harley shirt) to perform the funeral also Thank you to Jimmelynn Rice for the beautiful music. We would also like to express our gratitude to Dr. Anthony Rose, along with IU Palliative Care and Jeanne Trauner of Brighton Hospice. Private visitation and funeral services were held January 23 at Matthews Mortuary and burial was held at West Ridge Park Cemetery.
