James L. Cooke Jr.

75, Brownsburg, passed away on July 11, 2023.  He was a US Airforce veteran.  James was a fleet manager for Ameritech for 30 years retiring in 1996.  He was preceded in death by his daughter Tami Cross; father James Cooke Sr.; and mother Juanita Delores Rader.  Survivors include his wife Elwanda Cooke; sons Ryan (Aeriel) Cooke, Michael (Sheri) Shipp, Robert (Lynn) Shipp; grandchildren Austin Cooke, Ashlyn Cooke, Anthony Cooke, Anna Cooke, Nova Cooke, Bailey Shipp, Blake Shipp, Lexus Ouellette, Lucas Shipp, Frances Shipp; and 6 great grandchildren.  Visitation will be from 11 am to 1 pm Fri. July 14 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with funeral services there at 1 pm.  Burial with Military Honors to follow at Brownsburg Cemetery.
