James M. Dezelan Jr.

63, Indianapolis, passed away December 27, 2022.  He was a 1977 graduate of Cathedral High School.  Living in Florida for 20 years, he worked for Peninsular Electric as a salesman.  A huge Indy Car fan, he participated in the annual military lap before the 2008 Indianapolis 500.  His father James M. Dezelan Sr. preceded him in death in April 2022.  James attended St. Malachy Catholic Church, Brownsburg.  Survivors include his mother Julia Murphy Dezelan; sisters Julianne Osecki (Victor), Jeannie Cairns (Michel) and Jennifer Rutherford (Mark); eight nieces and nephews and nine great nieces and nephews.  Visitation will be from 4-7pm Tuesday January 3 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg.  Funeral mass will be at 10:30am Wednesday January 4 at St. Malachy Catholic Church.  Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Indianapolis.
