Obituary

James A. Freeman age 62, passed away on August 2, 2012. He was a resident of Avon, IN. He was born on September 14, 1949 in Logansport, Indiana. Jim is survived by his wife Mary; two children Suanna Downs (husband Tom) and James C. Freeman (wife Jen); his sister, Sue Clark; and two grandchildren, Sophia and Audrey Downs. Jim and Mary were married on August 12, 1978. Jim spent 32 years in banking and was a 12-year veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a member of the Rolling Thunder, Chapter One, a motorcycle organization that provides MIA/POW veterans support. Jim also was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Avon. A special thank you to Allisah Downing, Jim's hospice nurse, for her compassionate care. Visitation will be 10am-12noon Sat. Aug. 4 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, followed by a graveside service with military honors at 12:45pm at Clayton Cemetery, Clayton, IN. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hoosier Veterans Assistance Foundation (HVAF) www.hvafofindiana.org or Visiting Nurse Services (VNS) Indianapolis Hospice www.vnsi.org .
