Dr. James Godfrey Morphis II 62, passed away on November 30th in Bloomington, IN. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 4th at Valle Vista GC and Conference Center, 755 E. Main Street, Greenwood from 3:00-5:00 pm. Jim was born in Spokane, Washington on August 20, 1949. He attended Loma Linda University School of Medicine where he did his residency from 1975-1979. He moved to Indiana in 1980 to practice at I.U. School of Medicine in the department of Radiation Oncology. He retired in 2008 and moved to Post Falls, Idaho. Jim was preceded in death by his father, James Godfrey Morphis. He is survived by his wife, Deb, his sons James and Heath, stepsons, Brandon and Brian Cook, his mother and stepfather Jeannine and Bob Lininger and his siblings Robert, Thomas and Jennifer Morphis, stepmother Barb Morphis, stepbrother Terry Moran. Jim had a great love of the outdoors. He acquired his love of sailing from his dad. His favorite place to sail was Priest Lake, ID, where he spent many summers. Other hobbies include hiking, kayaking, jeep jamborees, painting, pottery, architectural design, skiing, snowshoeing and reading.
