Jane Ellen Farrand, aged 72, with her family present, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2023, in Brownsburg, IN, and is now walking in heaven. She was born on December 21, 1950, in Toledo, OH, to Bill and Joan Hatfield. With her parents and two younger sisters, Jane moved 11 times by the time she was 18 but called Port Huron, MI, home and was a 1969 graduate of Port Huron Northern High School.

She married William "Bill" Farrand on August 5, 1972, in Port Huron, MI. They soon moved to Loveland, CO in 1973 where she first worked as a bookkeeper before transitioning to the role of stay-at-home mom of her three sons whom she homeschooled.

Having sewn her own clothes in high school, Jane's love of needle and thread continued in her adult years as she soon became known for her quilting and needlepoint. She found even more enjoyment in scrapbooking photos of her family, friends, and travels. Jane also was instrumental in the spiritual development of many people.

She is survived by her husband, Bill Farrand; son, Steve Farrand (Mary); Jared Farrand (Angela); Alex Farrand; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill Hatfield and Joan Arduser, and a younger sister, Sally Hatfield.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Jane on November 13, 2023, at Connection Pointe Church, 1800 N Green St, Brownsburg, IN 46112, with viewing from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., with a service at 12 p.m.
