Obituary

Janet G. Aldridge

It is with great sadness and joy that the family of Janet Gee Aldridge announce her passing on August 24th  at the age of 76.  She has been reunited with her husband, Henry Aldridge, her parents, Ray and Doris Gee, and her younger brother Gary Gee.  She leaves behind her sisters, Cathy Egan (Roscoe), Carol Colson, Karen Bechtel (Dave), and Connie Anoskey (Dan) and her brother Walter Gee (Kathy) as well as two sons, Jeffrey Gee and Eric Utt, and two grandsons, Jeremy Gee and Christopher Gee (Rebecca) and three great granddaughters Dylann, Cassie and Raena.  She will be remembered as a librarian by trade and an avid reader and writer as her passions.  She was a lifelong volunteer with churches, libraries, Special Olympics, women in crisis, and various organizations that serviced special needs children.  She especially enjoyed her writers group.  Jan was an active member of Cornerstone Christian Church for 39 years.  With her husband, Henry, she loved to travel, hike and camp all through the Midwest and as far as Montana.  The world is a lesser place without her in it but we are all thankful that she is with the Lord.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sheltering Wings, 1251 Sycamore Lane, Danville, IN  46122.  Memorial visitation will be from 12 pm to 2 pm Fri. Aug. 30 at Cornerstone Christian Church, Brownsburg, with memorial services there at 2 pm.
