Janet Kay Bishop
83, of Brownsburg, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2026.  Janet was born in Elizaville, Indiana to Leon and Geraldine Hollingsworth on September 23, 1939. She went on to earn her Bachelor's degree in education at Ball State University where she was a faithful member of the Delta Zeta sorority. Later, Janet earned her Master's degree from Indiana State University. With her many years of education and experience, Janet worked as a beloved and respected school teacher at Pine Tree Elementary for 22 years. She was also a longtime member of the philanthropic Tri Kappa sorority.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents Leon and Geraldine. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Kenneth Bishop; her two sons Craig and Clay Bishop; sister Sue Hutsell; brother Donald Hollingsworth.
Private memorial services will be held among family and friends at a later date.
