Obituary

Janet Louise Lovell, Pittsboro, IN and Naples, FL, was called home to be with the Lord on July 1, 2024.  Janet was born to Virgil (Evert) and Mary (Thompson) Hendricks on April 19, 1947.  Janet has been married to her high school sweetheart, Larry Thomas Lovell, for almost sixty years. Janet's proudest accomplishment was being the mother to Lori Ann Redman (Mike) and Jennifer Louise Buddenbaum (Jim).  She enjoyed time with her six grandchildren, Hannah, Nathan, Hayley, Claudia, Claire and Elijah and her five great-children.   Janet was also survived by her youngest sister, Linda Sue Clark (Eric) and many nieces and nephews.
Janet's life was full of faith, determination and bravery.  She overcame Guillain Barre, a broken neck, two broken hips, a devastating hurricane and many other life challenges but through it all, she continued to do the Lord's work while on this earth.  Although she was a "fighter", even the most vicious warriors get tired and find the need to retreat, to return home. And, it was time for Janet to go home.  She looked forward to the homecoming with her savior and reuniting with those that preceded her in death, both her parents, Evert and Mary Hendricks, her brother Randy Hendricks and her sister Beverly Ridenour.
Janet was also known for having a caring spirit.   She worked as a LPN, later becoming an RN, for 30 years at what is now Hendricks Regional Health.  Janet, along with her husband, were also a part of a medical missionary team serving the medical and spiritual needs of the people in Haiti for 10 years.   She cared for everyone around her but mostly her family.  Janet went out of her way to make sure that family vacations and holidays were extra special creating lifelong memories.
In lieu of flowers, Janet would ask that you do something kind for someone else in her memory.
All are invited to a Celebration of Life on July 7 at Eaton Hall, Brownsburg, with visitation from 2:00pm to 3:30pm, with service at 3:30pm.
