In Loving Memory Janice Kay Brooks

Janice Kay Brooks, aged 84, of Indianapolis, IN passed away on July 9, 2024, Avon, Indiana. She was born on June 26, 1940 in Lincoln, IL to the late Vincent Meyer and Myrtle Meyer (Smith.)

Janice was preceded in death by her husband, Keith Brooks.  Janice was survived by her daughter, Julie K. Rader, and her son, Rick Rader (Andrea). She was also survived by her granddaughters, Meghan McCall (Michael), Katie Hurley (Pat), Colleen Ray (Patrick) and Mollie Rader, her great grandchildren, Addison Rader, Ronan McCall, Willa Ray, Kasen Ray, Braela Ray and Mia Hurley.  Janice took great joy in the presence of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Janice graduated from Scensa Memorial High School in 1958. She worked for fifty years as a Real Estate Relator and Broker.  She enjoyed gardening and was a Master Gardener. Her gardens were beautiful! She had a unique shop where she created and sold candles.  She made friends easily. She had friends everywhere. She was a member of St. Malachy's Church.

A mass to honor her life will be held at St. Malachy's Church on Monday July 15, 2024 at 11:30am with graveside services at Washington Park East at 2:00pm.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Rock Steady Boxing, an organization close to Janice's heart.

Janice will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love, dedication to her family will remain close to our hearts
