Jason James Bryant "Stonehawk" July 6, 1973 – January 17, 2025

Jason James Bryant, lovingly known as "Stonehawk," passed away on January 17, 2025, at the age of 51. Born on July 6, 1973, in Danville, Indiana, Jason was the son of James V. Bryant. He was preceded in death by his mothers, Iris Springer and Linda Gleason.

Jason was a proud Ojibway/Chippewa and a member of the Red Lake Nation. He cherished his heritage, embracing his culture and traditions throughout his life. Equally, Jason was a true patriot, deeply devoted to his country and the ideals it stood for. His love for both his roots and his nation were constants that defined him.

Jason is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer Bryant, who was his partner and rock. Together, they shared a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure.

Jason earned his GED and worked passionately as a carpenter, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, love, and dedication. He used his hands and heart to build not only structures but also connections. He loved sharing his wisdom and skills, leaving a lasting impact on every project he touched.

Jason was a devoted father. He is survived by his children: Brooke Bryant (partner Sheena Higgins), Isaac Burns (partner Riley Cox), Matthew Bryant (partner Danielle Fuller), Kayla Bryant (partner Brandon Garrison), Ethan Bryant, and Helana Bryant (partner Andrew Herrin).

He was also a fun-loving grandfather to Kohen Garrison, Dawson Burns, Emmitt Garrison, Axon Garrison, Avery Bryant, and Serenity Bryant-Fuller.

Jason is also survived by his siblings: Kristina Bryant, Mischelle Crosby, Tony Crosby, Joseph Bryant, and Jonathan Bryant. His family remembers him as a larger-than-life figure whose humor, warmth, and stories brought people together.

Jason had a gift for storytelling, captivating audiences with his wit, vivid tales, and infectious laughter. He was known for his strength and resilience, embodying his nickname, "Stonehawk," as a symbol of his unwavering spirit and determination.

Jason knew Christ as his Savior, and his faith brought him peace and hope. His family takes comfort in knowing he is now reunited with his lost loved ones in Heaven.

Services: Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday January 24, 2025, with the funeral service following at 1:00 pm at Faith Baptist Church, 3860 E. Main St., Danville, IN 46122. Burial will follow at Clayton Cemetery.
