Jaylen T.
Crowder
December 9, 2003 – May 24, 2024
Jaylen T. Crowder We celebrated the life of Jaylen Thomas Crowder, 20, who passed away in a motorcycle accident on Friday, May 24, 2024. Jaylen is 1 of 3 amazing children to their mother Jill Pemberton. He is the brother and very best friend of Aaliyah Crowder (21) and an amazing big brother to Markell Crowder (14).
Jaylen was born on December 9, 2003. He came into the world with perseverance that was unmatched. In his 20 years of life, he made a huge positive impact on many people.. He had a heart bigger than you can imagine and a smile and personality to match. Jaylen played football and ran track at Pike High School up until his first knee surgery when he was 13. Fifteen knee surgeries later - he received two knee transplants in 2021. Rather than sulk about his sports career being over; he found the strength to begin actively working out in his quest to recover and fill the "sports" void. Jaylen began to focus on weightlifting. He would wake up every morning at 4:30 am, workout and then catch the high school bus at 6:00 am. After school he would go to Chick-fil-A and work and then come home, do homework and workout again! He was so driven and passionate.
He graduated from Pike in 2022 and went to Ball State University to pursue a career in Engineering. It was at that time that he met his beautiful girlfriend Oceana (OC) who will forever be a part of the family. Jaylen decided a four year university wasn't the path he wanted; and recently began working at American Mattress. He enjoyed his job and coworkers very much. He was highly respected and appreciated by his co-workers, customers and leadership team.
Jaylen will be deeply missed by so many! We trust that by our belief; God is holding a perfect version of Jaylen in His arms; and we will see him again one day!
