Jean Ann
Trammel
June 20, 1932 – October 16, 2024
Jean Ann Trammel
Age 92, of Brownsburg, Indiana, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, October 16, 2024. Jean was born on June 20, 1932, in Whitestown, Indiana, to the late Cleo Hillock and Eunice (Williams) Hillock. In 1950, she graduated from Whitestown High School and married Earl Trammel on October 22, 1950. Together, they shared 47 wonderful years until Earl's passing in January 1998.
From an early age, she began her relationship with Christ and served Him for over 80 years. She was a member of Whitestown Baptist Church, until 1975, when she and Earl moved to Brownsburg. Once there, she became an active member of Bethesda Baptist Church. She taught fourth grade girls in Sunday school for many years and then became a greeter, welcoming all who walked through the doors.
Jean's priorities were God, family, and others. She began each day in prayer, often on her knees, bringing each family member and friend's health and well being before the Lord. The act of bowing before the Lord, even towards the end, let the Lord know "she meant business." Her family was her pride and joy where she was always willing to listen and offer encouragement when needed.
The strength of her faith gave her the wisdom and confidence to share the Gospel with everyone around her so they could see Christ in her. She celebrated God's creation by spending time outdoors tending to her beautiful flowers and watching birds and deer from her patio.
Jean is forever loved and deeply missed by all those who knew her.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Mike (Lisa) Trammel of Brownsburg, Kim (Rob) Meiser of Delaware, Ohio, six grandchildren-Michael (Abby) Trammel, Mitchell (Grace) Trammel, Matthew (Kayla) Trammel, Kyndra Mercer and fiancée Kurk Duerstock, Kelsie (Michael) Ralston, and Andrew (Hannah) Meiser, 2 great granddaughters, and 2 future great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10 am to 12 pm Fri. Oct. 25 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with funeral services there at 12 pm. Private burial services will follow.
