Jeri Kay Worland (age 61) of Brownsburg, IN passed away on April 8, 2022 after a brave battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Norma Smolek. She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Philip Worland, sons Dustin (Sara) Worland and Cody (Courtnie) Worland, and granddaughter Oaklynn Worland. She is also survived by her brother Greg Smolek, sister Carrie (Tim) Nelson, and several nieces and nephews.

Born in Auburn, and raised in Washington, IN; Jeri also spent 10 years as a military spouse living near several air bases both abroad and in the States. After returning to Indiana, Jeri worked for Specialty Coating Systems for 15 years as a Buyer, before retiring in 2011.

Jeri was, and remains, a binding force of family, friends and neighbors. She lived in service of those closest to her - by providing warm meals, an open heart, and a knack for gardening and cleaning just about everything.

She loved spending time in her yard - tending to flowers and ferns. Always looking forward to that perfect summer tomato. Her love of the outdoors brought her to Florida during the winters. Including just last month, where she walked along the beach with her granddaughter.

Memorial visitation will be from 10 am to 11 am Friday, April 15 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with Celebration of Life services at 11 am.
