Joan Teresa Cleary
86, died after a long battle with breast cancer on June 1, 2017. She was the first born child of Douglas and June Cleary. She loved children and the elderly, passionately. Joan was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Malachy Church in Brownsburg. She worked as a clerk in the State Office Building in her early adult years. Later, she did care giving for the elderly. She was treasured by her patients and many sought out her care for in home services. She will be missed. Joan was survived by siblings: Pat Cleary, Mary Cleary, Mike (Marcia) Cleary, Carol Armstrong, Tom (Yvonne) Cleary, Cathy Cleary, Gerry (Tom) Zeunik, and Janet (Phil) Dodd; 22 nieces and nephews that she loved dearly. Visitation will be from 11am to 1pm Mon. June 5 at St. Malachy Church, with funeral services there at 1pm. Burial will be in St. Malachy Cemetery.
