Joan Phillips age 83, Brownsburg, left this world to join her husband and her Lord Jesus on Sept. 16, 2011. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years Lawrence, her eldest son Dennis, grandsons Jeremy Ray and Keith Allen Phillips, a sister and two brothers. She was a member of Brownsburg Order of Eastern Star and attended Mt. Tabor Baptist Church. She is survived by children Duwayne Phillips, Roxanna (Rich) Williams, Lawrence (Mary) Phillips, and Randy Phillips; daughter-in-law Monna Phillips; sister Lucille Nelson and brother Robert Douglas, both of Brazil; 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be 10am Tues. Sept, 20 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with visitation there from 4-8pm Mon. Sept. 19. Burial will be in Brownsburg Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Mt.
