John L. Comeford
90, Brownsburg, formerly a long time resident of Valparaiso, passed away February 20, 2021. He was a US Army Korean War veteran serving in 2nd Infantry Division. Working as a metallurgist, he retired from Thomas and Skinner in 2001. He was a member of St. Malachy Catholic Church, American Legion and VFW. He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Mary Comeford and brothers Rob and Paul Comeford. Survivors include his wife Deanna Comeford; children Mary (Steve) Schafer, Thomas Comeford, Caroline (Jeffrey) Randall and David (Melissa) Comeford; grandchildren Ryan, Anna, Nathaniel, Timothy, Hannah, Peter, Katie, Lauren and Erin; brothers William Comeford and Charles Comeford; sister Dorothy Gilliam; nephew Jim Gilliam. Funeral mass will be at 11am Friday February 26 at St. Malachy Catholic Church. Burial with military honors will follow at St. Malachy Cemetery West, Pittsboro. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Malachy Food Pantry, 9833 East CR 750N, Brownsburg, IN 46112.  In compliance with current regulations and restrictions, guests must wear masks and observe social distancing.
