John T. Hedges
87, Brownsburg, passed away Feb. 14, 2011. John was born in Crawfordsville, IN, on May 7, 1923 to John V. and Emma Hedges. John graduated from Crawfordsville High School and Aeronautic University of Chicago. John proudly served his country during WWII as a Lieutenant and pilot, flying over 30 missions over Germany. John was an engineer at Allison's Division of GMC for 32 years. He was a member of the Crawfordsville Elks and the Brownsburg American Legion. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Ann Canine Hedges; children Jane (husband Gary) Hein, Kathy (husband Bruce) Holmes, and Jennifer (husband Michael) Hillock; grandchildren Abby and Katie Holmes, John and Michael Hillock; brother Clay Hedges, Kansas City, MO. Visitation will be from 4-8pm Wed. Feb. 16 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with graveside services at 11am Thurs. Feb. 17 at Lincoln Memory Gardens, Whitestown, IN. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Vincent Hospice.
