Jack W Kennard

73, Brownsburg, passed away on October 14, 2024. He was born on Thanksgiving November 23, 1950 to Bob and Mim Kennard in Evanston, IL. Memories of Jack revolve around food, family, friends, and fireworks. He did not know how to cook for two and was always handing out containers of extras. People will remember his clam chowder, ham salad, pumpkin bread, and home-grown sweet corn. Family led him to get involved in the BJSL and BHS soccer programs. Jack, along with a multitude of other parents, donated hours of work to support the soccer programs. This included coaching, managing concession stands, and upgrading fields. He was a past member of Brownsburg Sertoma and became a member of the Avon American Legion Post 145. The legion gave him another avenue to continue his cooking skills. He looked forward to hosting the annual July 4th party and "Kennard" fireworks display in his backyard.

Survivors include his wife Cheryl Kennard; sons Jason (Katie) Kennard, Jared (Lori) Kennard; sisters Cheryl Saxton, Beverly Colwell; 6 grandchildren Avery Kennard, Colin Kennard, Quinn Kennard, Neave Kennard, Raegan Duncan, and Alex Duncan. Celebration of Life will be from 1 pm to 4 pm Sat. Nov. 23 at the Avon American Legion Post 145, 4812 E. Main St., Avon, IN 46123. Memories and final toasts to Jack will start at 3 pm. Everyone is invited to participate. Please join us to celebrate his life and birthday with food, drinks, hugs, and lots of memories.
