John Jacob ‘Jack’ Seitz Jr.

83, of Brownsburg, passed away on August 12th, 2026. Jack was born in Lima, Ohio to his parents John Sr. and Ruth (Schurr) Seitz on December 13th, 1942. Following his high school graduation, Jack went on to proudly serve his county in the U.S. Navy. He then led a 37 year career as a respected Lead aircraft mechanic for United Airlines. During this time Jack was well known by his coworkers and neighbors for his summer barbeque get togethers. After his retirement Jack went on to become a school bus driver for more than ten years.

Jack was an avid traveler, and loved to visit Hawaii with his beloved wife Bobbie any chance they had. He also loved to travel the US in his RV with his beloved dogs. Jack was a lifelong dog enthusiast. 

Jack was also a skilled carpenter and enjoyed making furniture and household décor.

In recent years, John was a member of the Brownsburg American Legion, as well as Faith Lutheran Church in Avon.

He was preceded in death by his parents; beloved wife Bobbie Jean Seitz; sister Barbara Copeland, and Granddaughter Jennifer Seitz. John is survived by his sister Marilyn Taylor and his children Jim (Vicky) Seitz, Jeff Seitz, and Tracy Seitz; step-children Barry “Butch” (Kathy) Hall and Buffy (Jeffrey) Lutz; sister Marilyn Taylor; 5 grandchildren. James Seitz, Preston (Courtney) Lutz, Alexis (Ricky) McPherson, Andrew (Bailey) Robinson, Bethany (JD) Stark and 7 great grandchildren.

Celebration of Life for John “Jack Seitz will be September 26th, 2026 at 1 pm at Faith Lutheran Church 5706 E CR Rd 100 N Avon 46123.
