John David Smith

77, Indianapolis, passed away on February 21, 2023.  He was a US Marine veteran of the Vietnam War and a recipient of the Purple Heart award.  He was a member of Burge Terrace Baptist Church and a former member of Faith Baptist Church.  He was a Brownsburg High School graduate.  John worked doing auto restoration for many years.  He was preceded in death by his parents Armond and Lorene Smith and sister Donna Toth.  Survivors include his sister Teresa Cheek (husband Mike); nieces and nephews Holly Cheek, Kari Farooqie, Jonathan Cheek, Lori Cherry, Kim Sheppard and Jim Toth.  Graveside services with military honors will be Saturday February 25 at 12 noon at the Brownsburg Cemetery.
