Johnny Dowell

79, Brownsburg, passed away on August 9, 2024.  He was a die roll engraver for Eli Lilly & Company for many years.  Johnny was a member of the Brownsburg American Legion.  He was preceded in death by his wife Karen Dowell; parents Oscar and Nella Dowell.  Survivors include his daughter Lisa (Mike) Lesher; son Jay (Amy) Dowell; sister Dorthea Smith; grandchildren Danielle, Morgan, Jake, Mason, Hayden, Bodhi; great grandchildren David, Silas, Luna and Weston.  Visitation will be from 4 pm to 7 pm Wed. Aug. 14 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with funeral services there Thurs. Aug. 15 at 10 am.  Burial will be in Lincoln Memory Gardens, Whitestown.
