Jon "Eric" Smith, age 57, Pittsboro, passed away Feb. 4, 2015. He was a member of Connection Pointe Christian Church and the Brownsburg American Legion. He owned and operated Eric Smith Lawn Solutions. He was preceded in death by his father Fred Smith. He is survived by his wife Cheryl Smith; children Jason (Kristi) Sonicksen and Teah Sonicksen; mother Lynn Nevitt; brother Perry Dean Smith; sister April Kats; and grandchildren Blake and Jayla Sonicksen. Visitation will be from 4-7 pm Mon. Feb. 9 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with memorial services there at 10 am on Tues. Feb. 10.
