Joni L. Knight

69, of Brownsburg, passed away on July 12th, 2026. Joni was born in Martin, KY to her parents Gardner Bailey and Rosemary (Horn) Brown on August 2nd, 1956. She went on to continue her education by earning her Associate’s degree prior to a long career in medicine. Joni worked as a respected LPN at Brownsburg Health Care for over 30 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son Michael Jordan; sister Vickie Pedan; brother David Bailey. Joni is survived by her beloved husband Alan Knight; children Tonya (Martin) Wolfe and Bobbi Jo Shockley; siblings Todd Bailey, Gary Bailey, Lisa Brown, and Jeff Brown; cherished grandchildren Austin Wolfe; McKenzie Wolfe, Bailey Shipp, and Sierra Shockley; great-grandson Oliver Shipp.

Visitation will be on Thursday, July 16th from 11 am to 1 pm at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with funeral services to follow at 1 pm. Joni will then be laid to rest in Brownsburg Cemetery.
