Nana, as she preferred to be called by all who knew her, valued all of her friends, but the greatest Friend of all was the Lord Jesus Christ of whom she was never ashamed. Juanita accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior in July of 1965 at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Fairfax, VA. Juanita was an active member of every church that she attended. Music and family were always important in her life. Juanita became a church musician at age fourteen. She was an accomplished seamstress and florist. She fashioned many of her children's and grandchildren's wedding attire and flowers. She also cross-stitched baby quilts for each grandchild and great grandchild. Juanita lived her life according to 2 Timothy 1:12: "Nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I have committed unto Him against that day." Visitation will be from 10am to 12 noon at the Crosspointe Baptist Church, 220 Country Club Rd., Indianapolis, IN, with funeral services there at 12 noon.
