Obituary

Judith Ann Jackson, of Brownsburg, Indiana passed away on 26 December 2019.  One of four children, she was born to Edward and Wilma Burns in Brownsburg, Indiana on 12 December 1939.  She graduated from Brownsburg High School in 1958.

Judy was a loving wife and beloved mother.  She leaves behind her husband of 61 years, Lloyd C. Jackson and five children (Kathy, Jennifer, Dianna, Charles and Edward).   She also leaves behind 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren whom she loved dearly.

All who knew her loved her – she had a sweet, pleasant demeanor, which was combined with a sassy sense of humor.  Judy enjoyed serving her family, her friends and her church.  She was known as a happy servant of her family and her God.  She was always cooking, cleaning, helping and serving others while she sang the songs of her heart – you might overhear her singing, Love Lifted Me, Jesus Saves, or Blessed Assurance as she worked with grace and dignity to serve others.  She lovingly and happily served without fanfare or attention.  She also enjoyed sewing and working with fabrics and working for her church in groups like Crafters for Christ.  She served behind the scenes in fellowship centers and kitchens in every church she attended from Indiana to Florida.

Judy will be sorely missed and her passing leaves a hole in each of our hearts.  Memorial service/open house will be held Monday December 30 11:00am-1:00pm at Matthews Mortuary 690 E 56th St, Brownsburg, IN 46112.
