Julia Hicks Fuller, 104, passed away March 25, 2014. Julia was born July 2, 1909 in Tilden, IN to James Monroe and Nora Runion Hicks. Julia in her horse and buggy raced a classmate to Pittsboro High School. As a young adult she married Rodney Fuller and lived in Chicago, Illinois where she drove her car many times down the fast moving Lakeshore Drive. Finally, Julia and Rodney retired in Clermont, IN, where she enjoyed gardening, flowers, feeding the birds, and entertaining family members who frequently visited. She was the heart of the family. Survivors include nephew Dan Hicks; nieces Jane Alverson, Nancy Keyser, Mary Alice Palmer, Shirley Jensen; and sister in law, Evelyn Hicks; 12 great nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the personnel and residents of Avon Health and Rehab who have provided emotional and physical support during her past few years. Services will at 1pm Sat. March 29 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with visitation from noon until time of service. Burial will be in Brownsburg Cemetery.
